Thanks to everyone that stopped by the Premier Physical Therapy booth at the 2009 26.2 with Donna Marathon.  For some of you that I was not able to meet with directly and help with their aches and pains questions, I apologize.  I have received some emails from runners that I did have an opportunity to work with and I am pleased to convey good news with everyone reporting significant benefit from the treatments or advice they received from us.  My partner Eric Mason and myself, along with our certified Athletic Trainer Kara Elliott, also manned our booth at the 2009 Gate River Run here in Jacksonville and again found lots of interest from runners seeking answers and help with a variety of ailments.  For those of you who wish to communicate your positive experiences with Premier Physical Therapy or have some questions/concerns that you would like to post, please feel free to blog away.  Thanks again to all of our patients and clients, for it is your successes that continues to motivate us everyday, as we work hard to provide you with the knowledge and expertise you deserve.

Re: Premier Physical Therapy helps 26.2 with Donna Marathon runners

Sure appreciated the treatment and info at the Donna Marathon Expo. Training for and running 26.2 miles does take some toll on the body and it helps to know how to prevent rather than incur injury. Anybody in any sports training needs someone like you and I really wish I had you all in New Smyrna Beach !

Hello Chris,
I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for the work you did on my calf prior to the Breast Cancer ½ Marathon event on February 15. I had absolutely no pain during the race or even after the event! I have been doing the stretch that you showed me and I can really tell if I miss a day.
Thank you so much for your work!

I was heartbroken when I realized that I would not be able to participate in the Donna Marathon due to my last-minute foot injury. But after several sessions with you I'm back on the streets! Thanks to you and your expertise I was able to finish the Gate River Run recently! Thank you so much for everything, you're the best!

Chris,
Thank you so much for all of your help with my latest knee surgery this past January. With your shared expertise and skills, I am happy to report that I am close to reaching my goal of running a 5K without pain. I didn't think I would be able to return to running and cycling considering this was my 5th knee surgery, but you helped make it possible. As a physical therapist myself, returning to a physically active status was imperative. Thanks for helping me reach my goals and more!!!

Re: Premier Physical Therapy helps 26.2 with Donna Marathon runners

Dear Chris,
I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to quickly stretch me out after the Marathon on Sunday, when everyone else was packing up trying to go home. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me, because I felt like I was in bad shape, and just the stretching you did made an impact. I have recently sent an email to the Breast Cancer Marathon about my experience after the marathon, and made mention of you and Premier Physical Therapy and your attitude of helpfulness which continues the attitude of the Run with Donna spirit, when I felt like no one else gave a crap. Just wanted you and your company to know how appreciative I am.

Thank you Jennifer for your kind words. It is our pleasure to support you and the 26.2 with Donna Marathon participants as we all work toward finishing breast cancer. Good luck and I hope you are on your way to recovery and more runs in the future.

Re: Premier Physical Therapy helps 26.2 with Donna Marathon runners

Chris, Thanks ever so much for your help in both the 2009 and 2010 Donna 26.2 race. At the 2009 Donna 26.2 expo, you worked on my Achilles tendons which I have had on-going issues with in both of my legs for over 7 years. I beat my projected marathon finish by more than 10 minutes. Then you gave some follow up therapy at the finish area. I had no recovery problems. I was back for the 2010 Donna run, unfortunately too aggressive training for the marathon had me so hobbling that I knew running the marathon was out. So of course I headed to see you at the expo, where you worked on my Achilles. I was able to walk the ½ which was great. I highly recommend you to folks dealing with Achilles issues. It is just unfortunate for me, that you are not located where I live! Also thanks to your assistant, she is great at keeping things organized and very kind to find chairs or ice to help us our while we wait for treatment!
